Announcing returns in the second week of its Nation-wide poll on prohibi- tion, the Literary Digest tomorrow will show that of a total of 703.935 votes received from 20 States and the District of Columbia, slightly more than 40 per cent favor repeal of the eighteenth smendment and the Volstead law The vote ior repe»! continues to lead that for modification and for enforce- ment Of the total of 703,935 votes tabulated in the current tally, 287,885 favor re- peal; 224141 favor modification of existing conditions by legalizing the sale of light wines and beers.
