J., February 17— ‘Two, and possibly four, lives were lost in the ice blasts that swept the Atlan- tic Ocean off the Delaware Capes Sun- day. Two of four missing men who were aboard the foundered coal barge Merrill were found frozen to death in a lifeboat at dawn today by a Coast Guard patrol boat. There was no trace of the other two men. ‘The Merrill was one of three barges belonging to the Eastern Transportation Co. of Baltimore, being towed by the tug Montrose from Norfolk to New York, Running into the severe storm opposite Cape May the Montrose headed for shel~ ter of Delaware Bay. In 1928 only 162 planes, valued at $1,759,653, were exported. Of 'the’ total aircraft exports, 56 per cent went to Latin Amer- ica and the West Indies, between 3 and 4 per cent to Europe and 18 per cent to the Far East and Antipodes. Aircraft engine ship- ments increased during 1929 to 321, valued at $1,375,697, from 179" engines, worth $664,826, in 1928. Exports of during 1929 totaled- $2,252,208, as com- pared with $1,240,244 in the pre- ceding year.
