WRIGHT-CURTISS MERGER PROPOSED CDnsohdatlon of Air P|oneers Would Make World’s Largest Air Firm. By the Associated Press. | NEW YORK, June 27.—Creation of | the largest aviation company in the world through merger of Wright and Curtiss interests was proposed to stock- holders today. Directors of the companies affected have approved plans for the formation of & $70,000,000 holidng corporation. to be known as the Curtiss-Wright Cor- poration. It will take over, by an ex- change of stock, the Wright Aero- nautical Corporation and the Curtiss Aeroplane and Engine Co. and 10 af- filiated organizations. The new company will bring under one head the concerns founded by America’s air pioneers, the Wright Brothers and Glenn Curtiss. Clement M. Keys, president of Cur- tiss, will be president of the holding eompmy, and Richard F. Hoyt, chair- | man the board of Wright Aero- nlutlul will be chairman of the Cur- tiss-Wright Corporation. Other Firms Affected In addition to the Curtiss and Wright eorporations, the companies to be taken over are: Keystone Aircraft Corpora- tion of Bristol, Pa.; Curtiss-Robertson Ajrplane Manufacturing Co. of St. Louis; Curtis Alrport Corporation, Curtiss Flying Service, Inc.; Curtiss Aeroplane Export Corporation, Curtiss- Caproni Corporation, New York Alr ‘Terminals, Inc, and New York and Suburban Air Lines. ‘The new company will have an authorized capitalization of 12,000,000 no par shares. There will be 2,000,000 shares of class “A” stock, entitled to preferential payment of $2 a share an- nually, and 10,000,000 shares of com- mon stock. ‘The announcement said an offer will be made to stockholders of Travelair Manufacturing Co. and Moth Alrcraft Co. But details of those offers have not been worked out. Units of the new company will be operated under present management and independently of each other. Types of Planes. Planes produced by the company will range from small moth type to large Curtiss Condor bombers and Keystone Patriclan types and Keystone-Loening amphibians. LONDON, June 27.—Two hymns se- lected by the King have been included in the form of service to be used by the Free Churches at the thanksgiving services for his majesty’s recovery from his illness on July 7, “All People That on Earth Do Dwell” and “Praise My Sou’ the King of Heaven.” The service at Westminster Abbey to be attended by the King and Queen will not be a state ceremontial, but will just afford the formal opportunity for thoir majesties to join in the empire's gen:.al thanksgiving. The smallest number possible of seats in the abbey are to be reserved, and the definite suggestion has been expressed from the highest quarter that the peo- ple should attend their usual places cf worship.
