Dr. Walter F. Eagleson, who pro- nounced the benediction: Isaac Gans, member of the Board of Education, who presided, and Miss Jessie Coope, assist- | ant principal, who presented the honor awards. Included in the graduating class are | many youths who have previously won acclaim by their scholastic and athletic achievements. Heading that list is Mil- ton Felstein, honor graduate, who has been selected to represent Washington as a possible successor for Thomas A. Edison. In addition to this honor, the was awarded a scholarship to the University of Virginia and received com- mendation from the American Chemical Society for a scientific essay. Joseph Rosenthal, another graduate, received a | similar award from the soclety. Capt. George Weber, whose cadet company was awarded first place in the competitive drill, was presented with a duplicate of the Allison Naylor | medal by Dorsey W. Hyde, ir.. of the Chamber of Commerce. Scholarships to institutions of higher learning were received by many members of the class and others received honor averages for their scholastic ability. Boys and Girls Commended. Ten girls and 10 boys were com- mended by Miss Jesse Coope for hav- ing received averages of more than 90 per cent during their school years.
