Nearly 500 students received diplomas of graduation at the Central High! School commencement exercises held in the school auditorium last night. The graduation class was composed of 247 girls and 239 boys. Representative Otis Wood of Arkansas was the principal speaker. Nine students, five of them girls, Te- celved schelarship awards to various local and out-of-town universities and 55 students received honorable mention for high ratings in their school work Representative Wood likened the em- barking of the students on their careers to a ship putting out to sea.
