VIRGINA TO FNGH 21 AIRPORTS SOON State Highway Commission Expects to Complete Work by Midsummer. By the Associated Press RICHMOND, Va, February 15— Construction work on airports in the . Btate, which will be started during the Bpring, is to be completed by ldsummer for the 21 proposed ports for which arrangements have been made, State Highway Commissioner H. G. Shirley said today. Agreements have been signed by towns with the State highway depart- ment, providing for construction of some 15 landing flelds in addition to the six upon which construction work has been completed, Commissioner Shirley said. The State highway department, which started last year to undertake con- struction work on proposed airports, ex- pects to greatly increase this phase of work this year, it was stated.
