Blick, busi- ness man of this city, which recently was aired before the Maryland State Athletic Commission, has cropped out anew with the filing of an action in the District Supreme Court-by Gallagher in which he seeks to have Blick en- Jjoined from enterfering with the boxer’s Ting activities and to have the contract existing between them declared null and void. In his complaint, filed through At- torneys W. Gwynn Gardiner and James Y. O’'Byrne, Gallagher also demands an accounting from Blick of the moneys received and disbursed by the manager from the period baginning June 30, 1927, when the contract was signed, until October 22, 1928, when Gallagher became of legai age, and asks that he be awarded judgment for such sums as may be found due. In support of his contention that Blick voided the contract by feilure to meet its provisions, Gallagher alleges that whil> appearing in bouts under Blick’s direction the manager failed to furnish proper trainers, Sparring pari- pers or adequate means of transpor- tation to the scenes of various exhi- bitions, and that he has been irrepar- gbly injured by Blick’s action in seeking to prevent him from appearing in any ring in the States of Maryland, New. York and Pennsylvania.
