To Cur Good Friends and Patrons—We Announce *On December 31st, 1928, we are closing our 8th and Pennsylvania Avenue Store, Southeast, and consolidating the business, good-will and accounts with our store at 8th and E Streets N.W. One store instead of two—one policy—concerted effort and undivided time and attention . . . we repeat—“In the Interest of Economy.” To make possible this combined effort only the physical side annoysus . . . Two large buildings crowded to capacity with mer- chandise. At least one-half must be disposed of. Our large stocks at the Southeast store must be lessened and our stocks at the North- west store must give way to room for Southeast goods. Our friends and customers, and all Washingtonians who will yield to their better judgment, play an all-important part in this event. Beginning immediately and continuing until the store closes in December, EVERY DOLLAR’S WORTH OF FINE QUALITY FURNITURE, RUGS, NOVELTIES, FLOOR COVERINGS AND TOYS must be sacrificed. We disregard value, cost and profit and consider only necessary quick disposal. REMEMBER, this is not the cheap kind of sale furni- ture provided for an occasion, BUT our regular stock and incoming merchandise produced by reliable factories that you will cherish in your home for years to come. In closing our Southeast store we want to thank the good people of that vicinity and all of our customers for their kind patronage during the past years. We invite you to take benefit of the facilities of our Northwest store, where you may still buy on your present Southeast accounts, as heretofore. IN THE INTEREST OF ECONOMY you, yourself, will econ- omize in this offering . . . An opportunity is presented for you to buy the better furniture at prices as low and, in many instances, lower than the ordinary kind.
