THOMAS PURDUE, 79 YEARS OLD, DIES Honorary Assistant Rector at St.| Alban's Came Here From Tallahassee. Rev. Thomas J. Purdue, 79 years old, honorary assistant rector of St. Alban's Episcopal Parish, died at the Home for Incurables yesterday afternoon. Rev. Mr. Purdue came here from Tal- lahasse, Fla. following his formal re- tirement as a minister about 10 years ago and had assisted in the St. Alban’s Parish since then. He was chaplain of the William R. Singleton Lodge of M sons and assistant chaplain of the Epis- copal Home for the Aged. He was an Episcopal minister for 45 years and was ordained by Bishop Ger- shnm Mott Willlam in Michigan. He held charges in Michigan, Kansas and Florida before coming to this city. He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Henry Damm of Nogales, Mexico, where her husband is American consul. Funeral services will be conducted in St. Alban’s Church tomorrow afternoon at 3 o'clock. Rev. Charles T. Warner, rector, will officiate, assisted by Rev. W. W. Sheerer and Rev. Norman S. Bin- stead. Interment will be in Rock Creek Cemetery. C. W. PLASKETT DIES; RETIRED CLERK LONG ILL Funeral of Former Official of Corin- thian Yacht Club Set for Tomorrow. Christopher W. Plaskett, 69 years dld, retired clerk of the Bureau of Engrav- ing and Printing and for many years & member of the Corinthian Yacht Club, of which he was at one time rear com- modore, died at his residence, 18 § street, yesterday after a long illness. Mr. Plaskett was employed at the Bureau of Engraving and Printing for about 35 years, and was retired about two years ago. He was a member of the Independent Order of Red Men. He was a native of Virginia, and hndI resided here about 45 years. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Emma J. Plaskett; a son, Edward W. Plaskett; a daughter, Mrs. Olive P.
