Willlam Stuermann, 63 years old, re- tired member of the Metropolitan Po- lice, died of a heart attack while on the way to his home, 7109 Chestnut street, Takoina Park, from Silver Spring, yesterday afternoon. He was stricken at Blair road and Eastern avenue and was found by a colored man whose name could not be learned by po- 1 lice. Mr. Stuermann was a member of the pelice force for 30 vears, joining in 1899. and being placed on the retired list in 1220. His last assignment was at the tenth precinct. He was a native of Germany and came to this country when 19 years old. He is survived by his widow. Mrs. Louisa Stuermann: two sons, Leonard and Willlam A. Stuermann, and by two daughters, Miss Elizabeth Stuermann and Miss Anna Stuermann. Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery. MRS. BLANCHE E. TILLER DIES AT ATLANTA HOME Mother of Newspaper Correspond- ent Residing in Washington Sue- cumbs After Brief Illness. Mrs. Blanche Hance Tiller, 72 years old, mother of Theodore Tiller, Wash- ington newspaper correspondent, died at her home in Atlanta, Ga., yester- day afternoon after a short illness. The son has gone to Atlanta, where the funeral services will be held probably some time tomorrow. Mrs. Tiller was the daughter of Col. James Hance who died in action in the battle of Gettynburg Her husband died about 15 years ag Mrs. Tiller is survhed by four sons, Theodore Tiller, Jean Tiller, who was secretary to former Representative Howard of Georgla: Word Tiller and Arthur Tiller, both of Atlanta, and by four daughters, Mrs. Robert Wordman of Asheville, N C.; Mrs. Edwin Broach of Atlanta, Mrs. Julian Witcher of Charlotte, N.
