Amnounce- ment of his sclection to succéed Ben Egan was madé yesterday at the Hill- top. Egan, who is unable to return the coming scason because of his contract with the Baitimore Orioles, has been granted a year's leave of absence. Kopf, who was a member of the Cin- cinnati team when it won its first worle series title in 1919, is a graduate of Fordham Unlvers* , where he partici- pated in foot ball and basket ball in addition to bass ball.
