Chief Justice McCoy has dismissed a suit in equity brought by James McDonald, jr., for the construction of a clause in the will of his father, James McDonald, former Standard Oil magnate, who died in 1915. The court held that the clause in question did no injury, as it was plain that the deceased intended to provide for his grandchildren, even though he did so in a pecullar fash- ion. The order of the comrt is in line with a decision rendered by the chief justice some months ago, and which the son sought to have réconsidered. The son sought to hava about $3,000,- 000 remaining of the. estate turned over to him, instead of waiting for a distribution until Denuer his children. Millinery 528 12th St. N.W.
