Late Arrivals and Smart Store News of Today BY ETHEL M. PARKS Perfumers speak of the fragrance of Romance hidden in a single drop of rare perfume; thkat in it lurks an unsuspect- ed power—the pow- er to charm; that it appeals — attracts, and excites the interest and the hom- age of men! I knew there would be a@ man in it somewhere. Ull lay a wager some man wrote thate How- ever, it certainly does have an at- traction for most.women, and when just a tiny bit of lovely perfume is used it really does add to a woman’s charm. And here, I am sure, is some good news. Houbigant’s Quelques Fleurs toilet soap, which has always been an almost prohitbitive price, has just been.peceived in a new package and may now be had for 75c for a cake. There are three cakes in a box, but the price is the same. Not satisfied with exquisite bottles to hold the perfume, manufacturers have made such adorable atomizers, that one feels bound to have a new one in a color to carry out the color scheme of one’s bou- doir. They are made in ravishing colors and shapes, large and small, and carrying out the mode, in the slender silhou- ette. Just one of the many is pic- tured here. Some of them are made of two-toned ribbons, others with flower buds, and then the white satin garters with the spray of lillies of the valley and knotted ribbon for the' bride. .Those pictured are of the two-toned ribbon with a bow of con- trasting color. For summer frocks made at home there are the new mnovelty dress braid trimmings, in ratine; all colors, plain and combined with white. Also embroidered bands in Persian col- ors, in washable trimmings may be had. And if you wish, there are medal- lions in the shape of Mah Jongg tiles embroidered in exact colors on tan and white.
