NEW YORK, May 14.—Peacs be- tween the Actors’ Equity Association and 70 per cent of the theatrical managers and producers of the coun- try was assured vesterday through an agreement between the’ Bquity and the newly formed Managers' Pro- tective Association. This agreement, reached yesterday and which is for a period of ten vears, provides that future theatrical casts shall be composed of at least 80 per cent kEquity members and that all non-Equity members in a cast shall pay to Equity a sum equal to the dues of that association, which Iquity may dispose of as it sees fit. This money, it is understod, will be devoted to charitable work in the theatrical profession.
