It is planned to have the commis- sion authorize the construction of this road and begin operations as soon as possible. l The road proposed to be built is four- teen, miles in length and its construc- tiof would prove most helpful to the business interests of Alexandria. Funds for its construction would be borne by the county and state. It is estimated that the road would cost between $400,- 000 and $500,000. A coroner’s jury that will investi- gate the shooting and death of Elmer Ferris, colored, will meet at 7:30 o'clock Monday night instead of to- night, at Demaine’s mortuary chapel.
