Court Admits National Wholesale Association to “Packers Case.” Justice Stafford of the Supreme Court of the District of Columbla yes- terday permitted the Nationat Whole- sale Grocers' Association to inter- vene in the “packers” case. The court recently denled a motion of the gov- ernment to strike out the order per- mitting the Southern Wholésale Gro- cers’ Association to intervene, but did not act at that time on the appli- eation of the National Association. The intervention is granted, the court points out, for the same pur- pose and to the same extent as allow- ed the Southern Association, merely to be heard in opposition to any pro- posed change in the decree divorcing the packers from unallied industries, which would deprive the wholesale grocers of the protection now secured by that decree. cal centers will detail members of their staffs for special research work.
