How the Rock Creek Park Commission Propose to Deal With Them. ‘When Tur Stan's report closed yesterday the Rock Creek Park commission was closeted in Col. Robert's private office, discussing the best way to deal with the property owners who had cailed in response to an invitation from the commission to discuss the valuation of their land. It lacked a few minutes of $ o'clock when Capt. Rossell emerged from the private office of the Engineer Commissioner and called for those property owners whose names com- menced with the letters A and B. Several gentlemen filed into the room. ‘There was evident dissatisfaction at this pro- cedure, for hardly had the formsof those who bad been called vanished when Mr. Henry Wise Gar- nett in a short address objected strenuously to any star chamber ings, and sald it was an injustice toconduct a conference in sections and in private. It was agreed to appoint committee of three to wait upon the commis- sion and inform it that unless the meeting was to be a public one those remaining would with- draw. Mosers. A Little Italian Boy Meets His Death on the ixth Street Tracks. Yesterday afternoon about: o'clock a fatal accident took place on the railroad curve at 6th street and Maryland avenue southwest, by which Aped Ghivizzani, an Italian boy of ten years, was run over by an engine and instantly killed. The boy lived with his mother at 614 Maryland avenue and had just left his home to join some companions playing in the street. ‘The switch engine $28, manned by John Deal, with Wim. Williams, conductor, was approach- ing et the time and the gateman had the bars down. These were no obstacle to the little fel- low, who was intent on joining his comrades, and he ran under them.
