Forty Casper boy scouts will be shown the first principle of garden- ing Thursday when 10 acres of the Riverside farms, the old CY tract, are broken for their especial benefit. ‘The work will be done with a Ford- son tractor donated Earl C. Boyle. Mr. Boyle offered the trac- tur when he learned that the Harry Free agency which owns the ground had set asids this much of it to be divided into quarter acre tracts and 1o be cultivated for truck gardening by 40 scouts this summer. The Fordson demonstration will foe made at 2 o’clock Thursday af- ternoon and the und which has been selected 1 afterwards be plowed up by this machine, G. M. Penley, county agricultural agent, and H. Roe Bartle, scout executive, will have charge of the scouts. The Harry Free agency is making a gift of the land and water. The county agent is furnishing the seed, and Mr. Bartle is furnishing the scouts. NEW AUTO GLUB LAYS PLANS FOR OPENING EARLY NEXT MONTH The Central Wyoming Automobile club will open its clubhouse for the use of members on May 2, it was announced last night, and it will be kept open eyery evening during the summer and autumn. ‘, The clubhouse is located near the Garden Creel falls about five miles routh of Casper, on the sice of Cas- per mountain. The building is very attractively arranged for a c'ub house, having a sun parlor, large dining rogms excellent dancing floor, and well equipped kitchen. It is Ughted with electricity, having its own Hghting system. J. P, Duffy, secretary of the or- ization, announces that he has secured the services of the Vander- beck orchestra for the opening ight, and will have other entertain- ers there. Special singing and dancing will be one of the features of the evening with favors for every person present. Each member will be privileged to invite as many friends as he chooses. Mr. Duffy expects to have the buidling filled to capacity on the opening night and hopes to make this meeting a get-acquainted gath- ering. ——___. Finishing in the stenographic de- partment were Agnes Dyke, Mabel Kenyon, Madge Ripley and Gene- vieve Carey. Irene Guthrie com- pleted the combined commercial course. Louis J. Turner graduated from the bookkeeping department. The school requires a standard of 100 words written in shorthand, 50 words on the typewriter, and a pass- ing grade of 90 per cent in business English.
