The party, headed by Willard P. Hawley, Jr., paper manufacturer of Portland, Ore., consists of two cars, the leader being a 1924 Buick six cylinder touring car, stock equipped for the road, the other a Ford lodaed with equipment. In the party are Earl Brownlee, Portland newspaperman; H. H. Brownell, cameraman, and Bud Straight, chief electrician.of the Hawley paper in: terests inthe northwest. They are intertt upon completion of a round trip journey to Mexico City, something that has never be- fore been accomplished, and a jour- ney that will, for the most part, traverse country without roads throughout mountain and desert. The complete mileage is expected to run over 2,000 miles. Hawley explains his motive for the Mexican trip by saying that he wants to blaze the round trip trail and perhaps uncover trade possi- bilities. He states that he selected Casper Motor Co.
