Mr. and Mrs. Orban Eberhart of ‘Thief River Falls were guests at the Hotel Markbam yesterday. Mr. Eberhart was recently married, Mrs. ‘Eberhart having been Miss Jerome, -daughter of J. Jerome of Battle River. J. Jerome, the general merchant at Battle River, came to Bemidji this morning froxp Duluth and spent the day here on business. Mr. Jerome has succeeded to a great degree in his business affairs up in the Red lake country, and is conse- -quently prosperous. Mrs. R. C. Hayner came to the city yesterday morning from her home at Tenrtrike and spent the -day in the city with County Auditor Hayner. Mrs. Hayner was here for the purpose of inspecting a house in ‘which the household of Hayner will -occupy in the near future. It is expected that .Mrs. Hayner and family will move to Bemidji within the next two weeks to make their home here. Mr. Com- insky will go to Grand Rapids,where he will assume the management of a store which that clothing com- pany is starting at the “Rapids.” Mrs. Hattie Booth of Grand Rapids, superintendent of schools of Itasca county, came to the city last night from a visit to the schools in the northwestern section of Itasca «county, eaet of Blackduck. Mrs. Booth left for her home at Grand Rapids ou the east-bound night G. N. train. She is very popular at Grand Rapids and throughout Itasca county, and is a very efficient super- intendent.
