IS OF LOCAL INTEREST Likely that Bemidji Autoists Will Attend the Show.—Much Can Be Learned By Attending Show. Local owners of and dealers in automobiles are taking much inter- est in the big auto show, which is scheduled for Minneapolis on Feb- uary 19 to 26. This show promises to be one of the very best shows of the kind ever held in the United States; and Bemidji autoists believe they can learn much of practical value concerfiing autos, by attending the show. _The following circular has been issued concerning the show: “Minneapolis isto have an auto show February 19 to 26 inclusive, and if the very formidable start that has been made toward perfect- ing the arrangments is a fair index it is to be one of the most spectacular events, besides serving as a model school of instruction for the thousands in the northwest who are interested in the auto tech- nics of the new 1910 makes, that has ever been held in connection with exhibitions of this nature in the twin cities. “The spacious floors of the Na- tional Guard Armory will be utilized for the show and it is estimated that there will be on exhibition models of cars of the 1910 patterns numbering upwards of 200. “This great show has the sanction and is receiving the support of the Minneapolis Automobile Club, which in itself is a sufficient guarantee that the event will be something far removed from the ordinary. Walter Wilmot, who had charge of the big exhibit at the state fair this year, will again manage this exhibit. He is already aetively at work lining up attractions for the show, which will be side features for the amusement of the visitors. The general idea of this feature is elaborate. There will be vaudeville acts, minature cir- cuses, petforming animals and doz- ens of other features along this line. Plans tor the decorative features of the big show are being made and it is proposed to make this feature one of the biggest of the show. Especi- ally will this be true of the electrical effects at piebt- WMillicramf itk out, which will blaze the way for thousands who will go to the Armory during the week. “Space for the various automobile dealers of the Twin cities was ‘allotted a few days ago and at the drawing the scene was typical of a real life-sized land drawing. From ‘this drawing the wise-acresof the :automobile trade have deduced the fact that one of the most complete displays of motor vehicles of every description ever made in the West is assured. “Manager Wilmot announces this "clmjink thé state stumpage sale for Beltrami county late in the after- noon. morning for Walker, where they con- ducted a stumpage . sale today for The gentlemen . left -this Cass county. Mr. Iverson was well pleased with the sale here, every- thing considered, and stated that he would conduct a land sale next summer, when much of the state land in this county which has tall timber will be offered for sale, the timber to go with the land as an incentive to the purchaser to m;,ke his home on the land, as he will have timber with which to erect a house, and, have something that. he can market and realize on, when he is clearing the land for crops. Mr. Iverson is an Elk of long and stand- ing; and he met with the local “horned brethren” at their meeting last evening, being accorded a very warm welcome.
