This proved to be a most delightful function that was greatly enjoyed by the many who accepted the invitation to he pres- ent. There was a pleasing programme of entertainment, dancing and the serving of refreshments. —e NATIVE DAUGHTERS. the latter part of March Grand Pres- ident Eliza D. Keith paid an official visit to Ramona Parlor of Martinez and was received with a very cordial wel- come. Almost the entire membership was present. Letters of regret at inability to be present were read from Past Grand Presidents Wittenmeyer and Bertola. The meeting was, under good for the order, addressed by the visiting grand officer and by Grand Trustee Aga Lander. The grand president has been invited to lead the grand march with Grand Presi- dent Byington of the Native Sons at the grand ball to be given in Bakersfield in honor of the Grand Parlor of the Native Sons. At 30 one candidate the meeting of Keith Parlor March was initiated and after the routine business the membership was entertained with vocal selections by Kath- r¥ne Black, the w known vocalist. SLAM TEMPLE of the Ancient Arabic Order of Nobles of the Mystic Shrine, located in this city, has arranged for enjoyable pilgrimage to Monterey on pril This outing has been arranged for the members and their lady relatives. A very interesting programme has been prepared. This will include aquatic sports by members of the temple who are also members of the Olympic Club, a drive over the seventeen-mile road and sight- sceing in and around historic Monterey. There will also be a grand banquet.
