Why, from your earliest infancy every one of you has heard about birds and what they do. They play nearly all the leading parts in your nurser$ rhymes, in your later-day fairy tales, in your Christmas books and in your school primers. And even if you have never seen any of them in real life—which does not seem possible—there are pictures of them every- where. Why, children—all of you—this is just your opportunity to show that you can excel your elders in some things. By the way, does any of you know the name of that funny looking man with two short stubby little horns and a sardonic smile? He is called in mythology a Satyr.
