Colburn, Mrs. Maude Timble and Mis. W W. Watson there was presented an en tertainfng programme of music, song, fancy dances and litefary numbers by Mrs. Roth, the Bahr Sisters, Miss Ar- nold, Miss Lambert, Mabel Pfeiffer and E. Pollock, after which there was an hour of dancing and the serving of ice cream and cakes. This lodge is arranging for a number of social events in its lodge rcom in Excelsior Hall and for a rum- mage sale. Walhalla Rebekah Lodge entertained its many friends with a literary and musical programme in its lodge room in the Odd Fellows’ buildiug on March 25. There was a goed attendance of strangers, who were delighted with the several numbers that were offered. At the close of the programme there was dancing and then there was evidence of the lodge's hospi- tality. Mission Rebekah Lodge, at its meeting April 4, had a large number of visitor: Several of the officers of the Califoruia Assembly witnessed the drill team pre- sent the new floor work. The ladies wore costumes entirely at variance with those heretofore worn in the initiatory cere- mony, and the general opinion was that they were a decided improvement. A Branch Chapter of the Tastern Star Mrs. Mary Hammond Lewls, who for many years has been the outside sentinel for a number of the local chapters, Olive Branch included, was ac- corded a special privilege, being invited to a seat in the East in order to wit- ness the initlation of candidates, a pleasure she has not had for several vears. After the ceremony she was reminded that the honor had been been accorded her because of the anniver- sary of her birth and she was then pre- sented with many beautiful flowers.
