. 7 ’ ——gn, T o 7 B i £ XY - PAID .POLITICAL ADVERTISEMENT BIG BUSINESS LAUGHS Big Business thinks the American farmer is going to be fooled by the empty sham of the ~ Moss-Hollis Farm Loan bill, enacted into law by a servile congress under the orders of Woodrow Wilson, and falsely advertised for political purposes as a “Rural Credits Act.” Big Business knows that the act is a fraud. Big Business knows that the act has done - nothing to solve the farmers’ credit problems; that it never can do anything to solve -them. More than that, he knows IT WASN’T MEANT TO SOLVE THEM. S FARMI - oSl HAV IEATED Big Business knows the Moss-Hollis-Wilson Farm Loan - Act—falsely called a “Rural Credits Act,” was passed for the benefit of the BANKERS and no one else. j : ‘Bankers had their way in the framing of this bill. The Democratic con- gress listened to bankers. It would not listen to farmers, who knew and boldly said that the act was nothing but a fraud. - | "The Nonpartisan l.eader Said: . The Nofth Dakota unioh of the American Society of Equity and the Nonpartisan Leader carried on a " strong campaign against the Moss-Hollis farm loan bill (now the Farm Loan act) while it was pending in congress. Discussing this bill the Leader said editorially (issue of February 17): “In reality this is nothing more than a BIG BANKERS’ BILL. The bill provides for a scheme similar in construction to that of the INFAMOUS FEDERAL RESERVE BANK LAW, THE UTTER FAIL- URE OF WHICH OUR READERS WELL KNOW. * * * If this bill passes it will be years before con- gress can be aroused to take more than passing interest in rural credit legislation.” No “Farm Loan Associations” have been formed in North Dakota under this bill. None is likely to be formed. The Democratic administration KNOWS the law will not work and WAS NOT MEANT TO WORK. It hopes to conceal that fact UNTIL AFTER ‘ELECTION. THE Democratic record is a record of promises, boasting and fraud, - of laws passed to cheat the people and gain votes. Will North Da- kota farmers vote for the president who cheated them out of rural | credits? A vote for Charles E. Hughes for president will be a rebuke : : to political quackery and fraud. . 7 Porter J. McCumber led the fight of the Nonpartisan League and the ~ Equity to geta real rural credits bill. - He stood by the farmers —the farmers of North Dakota should stand by him. ~_League Members—Vote for-Frazier, Hughes and McCumber
