The League members in the race were nominated at the June primaries on the Democratic ticket. They are Michael P. Schmitt, a farmer, and Paul Meyer, a laundryman, the latter an auxiliary mem- ber of the League. These candidates are in favor of the League’s program and will work for the farmers’ interests if elected. Opposed to the League members are A. G. Divet and C. Ness, both of Wahpeton, who served in the last legislature. They are rum:ung on the Republican ticket. Divet is a lawyer who has been opposed to the League since it started. He voted in the legislature against the terminal elevator bill, voted for the repeal of the terminal elevator tax and against even allowing the people to vote on state hail insurance on the Canadian plan, part of the farmers’ program. He was a mem- ber of the committee that investigated Hanna’s board of control for the legisla- ture and wrote the report whitewashing Hanna and the board for diverting state. : funds. Ness also lives' at Wahpeton. He voted against the terminal elevator bill and to repeal the tax with which to build terminal elevators. He dodged the roll- call on state hail insurance and thus aided those who were opposed to this " legislation. ¥ HOLIDAY POULTRY' WANTED EXTRA BIG PRICES PAID FOR URKEYS CHICKENS, DUCKS GEESE, GUINEAS THIS IS A YEAR FOR HIGH PRICES IN THE LARGE MARKETS WRITE US EARLY FOR PRICE LIS'I‘ TAGS AND HOW AND WHEN TO S Alzo Want Shipments of Cream, Veal.
