Dak. Political Advertisement m A Progressive Judicial Platform The following principles have in the past governed my actions as District Judge. They will continue to be my guide, should . the people honor me with a re-election: The office shall be used as an opportunity for doing good in both State and Nation. o Strict enforcement of the laws. A full hearing and a fair trial under the law. The law is no respecter of persons; all are equal before the court —therefore there must be absolute impartiality as between litigants. De- feated axid dissatisfied litigants to be furnished the most ample opportunity to appeal. 3 Courtesy to litigants, lawyers and jurors alike. Making the labor of the juror as free from burdens as possible. Decisions to be based upon testimony offered in court and not upon street corner talk. Decisions to be given promptly. The business of Traill and Steele Counties should have as close and prompt attention as that of Cass. A wise administration of the Criminal Law. Reformation of the err- ing one and not cruel punishment should be the end sought. Only such penalties given as will insure obedience to the law. Youthful delinquents and neglected children furnish a problem pecu- liarly their own. A wise development of the Juvenile Court in harmony with all modern methods.
