We cannot attempt to describe all of the coats, you are welcogtie to look at them, price them, try them-on which would be a most interesting pleasure to any woman to say nothing of the joy of owning one. Women’s and Misses Fall Suits The word that best describes our Suits is “variety.” Hundreds of designs, from the magnificent to the simple—every new ma- terial, embroidery, tone and motif—the cir- cular skirt, the long waist line and the new sleeves are all included and all priced with- in the economies of every woman. Suits and Coats For Men When a man walks into this store for a Suit or Overcoat he has the unique advantage of being able to select a most sustantial gar- ment at just the price he wants to pay. “Society Brand, Fashion Park and Besse- Leland Clothes form a combination of cloth- ing values that few stores can offer. This department does an enormous business, carries an enormous stock and gives enormous values. Shoes For Men A shoe department far larger than most shoe stores, featuring the “BANNISTER” shoe, which has well established its reputa- tion and integrity. Beyond this a complete range of shoes for men and boys, from heavy work shoes to a dancing pump. ’ / bl / Concert Afternoon and Evening (s | - et Women’s, Misses and Girls Silk Dresses These charming afternoon Dresses are an inspiration. You will find a host of “Betty Wales” and “Peggy Paige” models. Be- guiling little frocks for every occasion. Silhouette and circular skirts, panels and drapes in endless profusion. Marvelous materials, some of which are entirely new to -dresses this season and quite worth while. The prices are just as unusual as the dresses. Women’s and Misses Fall Millinery This is the first season that this department has been under our own management. The greatly increased patronage is a source of much pleasure and satisfaction to us and the Hats themselves are entirely responsi- ble for the many compliments, and many, many sales that have resulted from our ideas—which were developed in the studios of “Johnson” and “Gage”. Suits and Coats For Boys A department that two years ago was as badly needed as the New Hotel is today. It is one of the largest Boys’ Departments in New England. Good looking Suits of dis- tinctive cloths—smart, swanky, boyish and tailored with a precision that is a delight to behold. Developed with a particular idea as to wear and service—many have two pairs of pants—and all so reasonably priced that methers wonder how we do it. Furnishings For Men A wonderful store within a store. A store that has been developed step by step on a foundation of value. The “Parker Shirt,” the products of the “American Hosiery Co.” known locally to you all as the very utmost in quality. Everything fgom a collar button to a pair of socks at a price you know is right by years of trading and comparisons. Women’s and Misses Evening Dresses Few stores in this vicinity would attempt to undertake this feature, so interesting to so many women. Some of these Evening Gowns are direct importations. Of special interest is the brocaded Lame which gleams under a crinoline overskirt of point d’esprit net faconne, the shirred hasque blouse is finished with a side corsage of heavy silken buds. Our windows reflect the savoir faire of this division and are far in advance of anything so far shown in New Britain. Women’s and Misses Hosiery The quality of these stockings is well rep- resented by these names—PHOENIX— GOTHAM—McCALLUM—POINTEX and GORDON. The assortment embraces all colors of the rainhow and some combina- tions of colors that the rainbow never heard . And all marked quite a bit less than in other stores. Hats For Men One of the hardest things some men have to do is to select a Hat. It becomes one of the easiest things to do when there are suf- ficient quantities to choose from. Mallory Hats, nationally known as a leader have be- come a by-word for men in all well dressed localities. Besse-Leland Hats at popular prices are unequaled in New Britain. Hun- dreds of Capts to choose from as well, it’s very hard to get along without one. Shoes For Women As important as the hat, the suit, the dress, the coat—is milady’s Footwear. Street Shoes and Dress Pumps for every occasion, as well as a splendid shoe for growing girls, all of which represent the best in leather, shoe craft and fashion at extremely low prices.
