An adjourned meeting of the village coun- cil was held at the Villuge hall on Saturday, March 24, 1900. Present—President Berney, Trustees O’Connel & Hepfel, and Recorder King. Absent—Trustee D’Anjou. Minutes of last meeting were read and on motion approved. On motion the treasurer was instructed to transfer the sum of $9.22 from the*G. W. Knox judgment fund and the sum of $51.76 from the A. J. Dwyer judgment fund to the contingent fund. MEETING OF COUNCIL ELECT. A meeting of the village council elect was held at the Village hall in Grand Rapids, Minnesota, on Saturday, March 24, 1900. Present—President Riddell; Trustees Hep- fel, O'Connell and Huntley, and Recorder King. On motion it was decided that regular meetings should be held on the first Thurs- day in each month. Town CLERK’S OFFICE | March 23, 1800 ’ Pursuant to notice duly given the boaad of supervisors of the township of Grand Rapids, Minnesota, met atthe town clerk’s office at 2 o'clock p. m., on the above date. Members present: Chairman Anthony McAlpine; Supervisors V. b. Blood and C. S. Brock, and Clerk Felix Mallette. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and upon motion approved. Mike Hogan, having been elected constable in and for said township on the 13th day of March, 1900, to which office he failed to qualify. the said office was declared vacant. Upon resolution presented by Supervisor Blood, Herman Cramer was appointed to fill the office of constable for the township of Grand Rapids during the ensuing year. Charles Milaney. who was elected to the of- five of township assessor at the annual elec- sion held in the township of Grand Rapids, March 13, 1900, having failed to qualify to perform the duties of said office, upon mo- tion duly made the office of township as: sor was declared vacant. A resolution pre- sented by Supervisor Brock appointing W.
