Howard, Youngest President Cleanliness Move - Given Backing; Outing Undecided ‘The Society of Natives last night elected the youngest president in their 20 years of existence—31-year- old John M. Howard, a commercial supervisor for ‘the Chesapeake & Potomac Telephone Co.,, & member of the society for three years. Mr. Howard, who has been first vlce president of the society for he past year, received 36 votes out or-wmxsanu earest rival was Jesse C. Suter, not a nominee, who received seven ballots. A former student at local gram- mar schools, Central High School and the University of Maryland, Mr. Howard has been connected with the utility corporation for 12 years. He has been chairman of mem- bership and Banquet Committees for the society. Organizations in which he has been active include the Board of Trade, the Federation of Busi- nessmen, the Georgetown Business- men’s Association and the American Power Boat Association.
