ISSUES REPORT ON MEMBER DEALINGS | By the Associated Press, The Securities Commission reported yesterday that transactions for their | own accounts of members of the New | York Stock Exchange in the week end- ed September 11 amounted to 19.44 per cent of all trading on the Exchange. ‘The members’ trading inciuded 5.67 per cent in transactions initiated on the floor of the Exchange, 3.64 per | cent initiated off the floor, and 10.13 per cent by specialists. On the New York Curb Exchange, member trading amounted to 17.99 ber cent. Primings and common grades of leaf offered during the first full week of auctioning on the Virginia tobacco markets in the old belt, showed today an average slightly higher than the 1936 price for the first full week. However, choice piles which brought upwards of $60 a hundred pounds during, the week tended to buoy the market, The floors were filled during the week and warehousemen generally predicted heavy breaks throughout next week. An active demand for all types of leaf was reported. Danville, largest market in the State, reported, official figures for the week showed a total of 5142547 pounds of leaf was sold for $1,306.- 820.44, an average of $25.41 a hun- dred pounds. Utilities as a group were a shade higher, with fractional gains by Ar- kansas Natural Gas “A," Cities Serv- ice, FElectric Bond & Share and United Gas.
