A their daughter, Miss Inez LEXANDRIA, Va, August 7—Dr. and Mrs. Samuel Broders Moore have issued invitations for the wedding reception for Gwynne Moore, and Mr. John [Francis Hauber, Saturday evening, August 21, at 8:30 o’clock at the Belle Haven Country Club, Alexandria. The wedding will be at 8 o’clock at the home of the bride-elect, 811 Prince street, in the presence of only a small party. Oity. il Ml Mr.and Mrs. Franklin At Stockholm After Vacation in Italy ’I‘HE United States Consul at Stock- «~ holm, Sweden, and Mrs. Lynn Winterdale Franklin, with their chii- dren, have completed a vacation trip in Italy, where Mrs. Franklin and the younger members of the family went some months ago. Mr. Franklin re- cently was transferred from Barcelona, Spain, where he served several years as Vice Consul. At the outbreak of the war in Spain Mrs. Franklin and her children fled to Madeira, where the second son, Lynn, jr. was born a week later. The four children form an international group, the eldest, Butler, being a “'native” of Saltillo, Mexico, where Mr. Franklin was Vice Consul for some years; the older daughter, Jennie, was born in China, where her father was on duty for several years, and Bessie, the younger sister, arrived while her parents were crossing the Pacific en route to this country for a visit. Mr. and Mrs. Franklin spent sev- eral months in 1934 at Fredericksburg, Va., with the latter's mother, Mrs. Frederick Robinson, in her historic home, Fall Hill, overlooking the Rap- pahannock and Potomac Rivers. Dur- ing their stay there they were enter- tained frequently in Washington and were hosts at Fall Hill at many in- formal parties through the late Sum- mer. Mrs. Franklin before her mar- riage was Miss Butler Robinson and is a gifted linguist. Mr. Franklin spent much of his childhood in Washington, living with his mother, the late Mrs. Jennie Franklin, at Bethesda, Md. His brother and sister-in-law, Capt. Neal Dow Franklin, U. S.
