B—6 Episcopal Children to Assemble Bishop Freeman Will Address1,000 From Diocese Churches. MORE than 1,000 children enrolled in church schools in the Episco- pal diocese of Washington are ex- pected to assemble in the Great Choir of Washington Cathedral tomorrow at 4 o'clock for a special service and the presentation of their Lenten offerings. Bishop James E. Freeman will deliver the address. Arrangements are being made by the Department of Religious Educa- tion, of which Rev. William R. Moody, rector of St. Mark's Parish, is chair- man. More than 250 of the children will sing in the choir, and plans are being made to accommodate an addi- tional 800 in the congregation. Canon Anson Phelps Stokes will deliver the sermon at the celebration of the holy communion in the Great Choir at 11 o'clock. Holy communion in St. Mary’s Chapel is at 7:30 a.m. Public officials, leaders of the church and people of Maine will be remem- bered at the altar in the Cathedral at all services for one week beginning to- morrow in accordance with the “Union of States” plan. The State flag of Maine, presented to the Cathedral through the co-operation of the Daughters of the American Revolu- tion, will be carried in procession at the service tomorrow afternoon. Mrs. Kenneth C. M. Sills, chairman for Maine on the National Women's Com- mittee for Washington Cathedral, and several of her associates are planning to be present, along with representa= tives from that State in Congress. The States of Michigan, New York and Pennsylvania will be commemo- rated on the three succeeding Sundays in the Cathedral. Lawrence B. Saint, for seven years director of the Washington Cathedral stained glass studio in Huntingdon Valley, Pa., will deliver an illustrated lecture on “Is Stained Glass a Lost Art?” the evening of April 24 at Gunston Hall School under the aus- pices of the Archeological Society of Washington. He will be introduced by Col. Wade H. Ellis, president of the society, and will show colored slides of ancient glass from famous cathe- drals in England, France and Spain. “JESUS, THE OMEGA” IS SERMON SUBJEC At Dumbarton Avenue M. E.
