SALEM, Ill, March 25.—Three men remained alive today, survivors of one of the Natlon's worst motor bus acci- dents, which claimed the lives of 20 members of a professional roller- skating troupe. With two others, they were hurled through open windows by explosions following the crash of the privately owned vehicle into a bridge abutment near here yesterday. Their clothing aflame, they stood by helplessly as 18 others burned to death in the inferno of blazing wreckage. At the Salem Community Hospital, two of the survivors—Mrs. Emily ‘Thomas, Chicago, wife of the driver, and Ted Mullen, Portland, Oreg., an- nouncer—died early today. i Three Taken to St. Louis. Advices from near the scene of the crash said three persons were believed killed and two injured when the plane, bound for Alexandria on its maiden trip from Southampton, fell from a height of 2,000 feet.
