Brokers said buyers were hesitant in making long-term commitments pending clarification of the Mediter- ranean crisis and in the face of pre- dicted tighter money conditions. United States Government loans were generally lower by from 1-32nd to 3-32nds of a point, but foreign issues | showed some strength. South Ameri- cans were in fair demand and Argen- tine 6s of 1957, Brazil 6':s, Buenos | Aires 4's-%s, and Colombia 6s were fractionally higher. Up also were some Belgian and Japanese bonds.
