CHEST SOLIGITORS MEET WEDNESDAY "Addresses to Be Delivered to Campaign Leaders i and Aides. A meeting of all chairmen, vice ehairmen, key men, speakers and other workers of the Commypity Chest Government Solicitation Unit will be held at 3:30 pm. Wednesday in the Government Auditorium. Maj. Gen. Merritte W. Ireland, re- tired surgeon general of the Army, ‘will preside, and there will be music by the Army Band. Short talks will be made by Wayne C. Taylor, fiscal secretary of the Treas- ury Department; Commissioner Mel- vin C. Hazen, Assistant Secretary of Commerce Draper and Herbert L. Wil- lett, jr., director of the Chest. In sdddtion, there will be addresses by Assistant Secretary of State Francis Sayre, Justin Miller, chairman of the Attorney Genel Advisory Commit- tee on Crime, and Coleman Jennings, general campaign chairman. The meeting will formally launch the campaign of the Government Unit. Harold A. Brooks, chairman of Area 3 of the Community Chest Group Solicitation Unit, yesterday announced completion of his organization of chairmen and section chiefs. He sald he hoped to complete selection of key men by the middle of this week. Maj. Henry 8. Wilkins of the Sal- vation Army is secretary of this area.
