ACTATFOODSHON BY MISS CARUCEID Olympics Team Member on Tuesday Night Bill. Opening Tomorrow. Connie Caruccic, 18-year-old mem- ‘ber of the United States women's gym- nastic team in the Olympics this year, will perform before patrons of the Dis- trict Grocery Stores food show Tues- day night in Calvert Hall, 2701 Cal- vert street. Miss Caruccio won her first national title in gymnastics at the Chicago ‘World's Fair in 1933, before her fif- teenth birthday. In the Olympic games, she is sald to have made the best showing of any woman gymnast. The food show will open at 7:30 pm. tomorrow. Thereafter, there will be matinees each afternoon from 2 to 5 p.m., and night shows from 7:30 to 10 p.m. through next Saturday, the final day. Aute Among Gifts. Included among many gifts to be presented patrons are an automobile, electric washing machine, the latter to be given away tomorrow night; a radio, to be given away Tuesday night; a set of imported chins, to be given away Wednesday night; an electric sewing machine, a spring mattress, a gas range and other articles to be given away on subsequent nights and 8t the matinees. At the opening tomorrow night, men will compete in a women's hairdress- ing contest, with their wives, sweet- hearts or just friends as their sub- jects. The winner, to be judged by the audience, will be given a $5 award. Baby Contest Daily. Beginning Tuesday afternoon and each afternoon thereafter there will be a baby contest held at 4 p.m. with an award of $2.50 to the winner. At 4:45 pm. each day, starting Tuesday, each child at the show under 6 years of age will be presented a gift by Santa Claus.
