C. & N.FINANCING PROPOSAL ISFILED Reorganization Plan Calls| for Funding Debt of $556,946,000. By the Associated Press. CHICAGO, June 26.—A plan of re- organization for the Chicago & Northwestern Railway Co., calling for refinancing of its $556,946,000 in ob- ligations, was filed today in United States District Court. The line filed a petition for permis- | sion to reorganize under section 77 of | the amended bankruptcy act on June 28, 1935. One goal of the plan was reduction | of fxed interest charges. It pro-| posed a shake-up of securities which would cut this burden from $16,582,- 300 a year ago to $4,662,705. Chief item among the railroad's obligations was approximately $150,- 000,000 in general mortgage bonds, | issued under 10 mortgages. The railroad had 20 issues of se- curities to be remodeled. { DECLI;JE IS ;REVEALED IN DEMAND DEPOSITS\ By the Associated Press.
