HOLY NAME MEN WILL HOLD RALLY Bishop Ryan Wiil Be Cele- brant at Feast of King- ship of Christ. | Thousands of Holy Name men and members of their families are ex- pected to attend the annual celebra- | tion of the feast of the kingship of Christ tomorrow evening in the crypt of the National Shrine of the Im- maculate Conception, on the grounds of Catholic University. The dem- onstration is being sponsored by the Washington section of the Baltimore Archdiocesan Union of Holy Name Societies, of which William H. Cnl- lins is president. Most Rev. James Bishop-designate of Omaha and rec- tor of the Catholic University America, will be the celebrant most blessed sacrament. Assisting Bishop Ryan as deacon will be Rev. Joseph M Moran, pastor of the Church of the Assumption, and Rev. W. Joyce Russell, assistant pastor of St. Thomas | the Apostle Church, will act as sub- deacon. The sermon will be delivered by Rev. William F. Culhane of the faculty of Mount St. Mary's College and Seminary, Emmettsburg, Md Fifty-seven branches of the Holy Name Society of the Washington sec- tion will send delegates to this rally and religious demonstration. At the close of the exercises the pledge against perjury and blasphemy will be recited by the assembled Holy Name men. Students of the Catholic University have been invited to at- tend. Following the exercises in the north wing of the crypt a pilgrimage will be made to the new tomb of the late | Bishop Themas Shahan, in the south or memorial wing. A special service in behalf of “in- ternational friendship and peace” will be held in the Bethlehem Chapel of ‘Washington Cathedral tomorrow aft- ernoon at 4 o'clock, with Fred B. Smith of New York delivering the ad- dress.
