CITIZENS REQUEST TRAFFIC SURVEY Sixteenth Street Heights Body Re-elects S. B. Loveless President. Samuel B. Loveleas was re-elected president of the Sixteenth Street Heights Citizens’ Association at a meeting last night in the Shepherd Schoal. Other officers chosen were: Earl W. 8app, vice president; Miss Freda Dorothy Egbert, secretary; Mrs. Mar- garet Smith, financial secretary, and Joseph H. Wilson, treasurer. Oliver E.'Sweet, James R. Kirkland and O. H. Ritenour were named to the Exec- utive Committee, and I. Irwin Bolotin and Mrs. H. M. Phillips, as delegates to the Federation of Citizens’ Asso- clations. A traffic survey, with relief of the congested condition at the intersec- tion of Georgis avenue, Alaska avenue and Kalmia road in mind, was asked in & resolution. It also asked that & policeman be stationed at the inter- section to assist children on their way to and from school. Dr. J. Winthrop Peabody, superin- tendent of the District Tuberculosis Hospital, outlined tuberculosis condi- tions here and explained the survey to be conducted. Co-operation of the association was pledged. Miss Olivia P. Stokes of the Ameri- can Red Cross explained the work of that organization and asked co-opera- tion in the Red Cross membership drive. The association voted to add a liquor license and zoning committee to its list of standing committees. In connection with liquor, the association referred to its Legislative Committee the Guyer bill, which would return prohibition to the District.
