TEACHER APPLICANT SUES BCARD FOR POST “Declares Her Name Was Improp- erly Removed From List of Eligibles. Suit has been filed in the District Bupreme Court by Miss Charlotte Cor- bin, colored, 118 Thomas street, to compel _he Board of Education The Avenue"=Tth, Sth and D St appoint her to a position as teacher in the public schools on the ground that her name was improperly removed from the eligible list. Her contention is that her name was taken from a list of eligible teachers for appointment to & junior high school post, and that another woman was appointed to the place to which she was entitled. She also sald she did not know her name had been deleted until four months afterward. When the case was heard before the School Board it was declared that Miss Corbin’s name had been erron- eously placed on the list in the first place and that the error was that of the Board of Examiners.
