NEW YORK, August 27.—Curb market stocks were deluged under a flood of offerings toward the close of trading today and gave way rapidly for losses of 1 to around 3 points. NEW YORK, August 27.—The price of refined sugar was advanced .20 of a cent a pound by two refiners today, | bringing the level up to 5.30 cents. If other refiners follow this advance, it will bring the general wholesale price of refined sugar to the highest level since September 26, 1929.
