The 50th anniversary of the lay- ing of the cornerstone of the Church of the Redeemer, at Eighth street near Barry place, is being celebrated. The fourteenth annual ccnvention of the Luther League of the Evangel- ical Lutheran Synod of Maryland will be held August 31 to September 2 in the Lutheran Church of the Reforma- tion. ‘The convention convenes the after- noon of August 31 with the registra- tion of delegates and visitors.
