FINANCIAL. CORPORATE BOND PRICES ARE STEADY Activity Centers in Rail and Utility Sections—U. S. List Quiet. By the Associated Press. NEW YORK, August 10.—The cor- porate bond market displayed steadi- ness today, with most activity cen- tered in junior rail and utility loans, where generally higher prices were established. Industrials were quiet but retained a firm appearance, with small changes the rule among the most active loans. ‘The selling pressure that made its appearance in amusement company obligations Friday apparently dried up overnight and these issues were generally unchanged to a shade higher. United States Governments were slow to get started and held within 1-16 to 3-32 of Friday's final levels in quiet trading that again was concentrated in one or two of the ‘Treasury issues. Foreign bonds were quiet and inclined to edge upward under light demand.
