" DECLINE REVEALED INBANK RESERVES Drop of $128,000,000 Laid to Changes Connected With U. S. Financing. By the Associated Press. A drop of $128,000,000 in reserve balances of member banks of the Federal Reserve System was shown in the weekly condition statement of the Reserve banks. The decrease was attributed chiefly to a transfer of funds to the Treasury in connection with recent Federal financing. The statement showed a rise of $154000,000 in Treasury cash and dposits with Federal Reserve banks. Total reserves of member banks remain near peak figures. A small increase in the monetary | gold stock lifted it to a new all-time peak.
