Benson, who was graduated from McKinley High School here in 1910, has been desig- nated as Post Executive Officer at Fort Myer, Va, in compliance with War Department orders. Maj. Ben- son was transferred here recently from Fort Riley, Kans. where he served as Squadron Commander in the 2d Cavalry. Maj. Benson was born in Kennedy, N. Y., but attended grammar and high school here. Entering West Point Military Academy in 1910, he was commissioned in the cavalry in 1914. During the World War, Maj.
