C. “Safest that come to our tables” authority says of canned foods HE millions of women who already use canned foods abundantly and the millions more who will serve them in greater quantities this year, will be inter- ested in these words of Dr. M. J. Rosenau, Professor of Preventive Medicine and Hygiene, Harvard Medical School: “Canned foods”, he said on November 19, 1931, “are the safest foods which come to our tables because of the sterili- zation to which they are subjected during the process of canning.” There is plenty of reassurance on’ this important subject. In 1927, a committee of the Foods, Drugs, andNutrition Section of the Amer- ican Public Health Association reported that “Canned foods, re- gardless of type of container in which™ they are preserved, are sound, wholesome and safe. Their continued use is commended. The advantages to the American health from the use of canned foods can hardly be over-estimated.” NAME. ADDRES!
