The Young Men's Christian Asso- clation is making extensive improve- ments to the physical department of the Central “Y” bullding, including new Turkish bath and solarium facili- ties and & club room for the Business Men's Club. ‘The alterations, soon to be com- pleted, will provide greatly expanced accommodations for patrons of the steam and artificial sunlight baths, with latest ultra-violet and infra-red ray equipment, electric cabinets, steam room, massage tables and other acces- sories. These are being installed in a remodeled annex to the gymnasium, Adjoining the baths will be a rest room, with 11 cots; a valet shop and a check room. The club room for business men is attractively furnished with library and game tables and leather armchairs. There is a large fireplace and a radio. Grant, presi- dent of the District Association for the Prevention of Tuberculosis. The committee, Mrs. Grant said, is composed of & group of outstanding American bio-chemists and laboratory workers, and is headed by Dr. William Charles White, of this city. Tests, she said, are conducted in the laboratories of the United States Public Health Service.
