BY MILDRED MOCKABEE. ’W»&&\ Q&u.._ HE very long “¥" loop, only parti- ally closed, that is used in this sample of handwriting is very unusual. Prequently & writer using this long, wide type of loop is careful to close it, making a very long ending stroke. From this we may suspect that this writer would like to be a very practical, determined person, but she probably falls short of this mark. ‘Though she may particularly try to present a stern exterior to the world, she perhaps is not successful. Her apparently more natural manner of unsophistication and pleasantness would possibly be more familiar to her friends. The rounded letter forms would also lead us to believe that a less busi- ness manner is more truly an expres- sion of her personality. Hers is probably a nature that needs a great deal of love and affection. She would not thrive in a cold, reserved atmosphere, but would be more at home with people who express their emotions freely. Instead of trylng to repress herself too much, she should be more 3§ laughing or crying ress itself. ‘She veremotlonal 1r rould endeavor to broaden her It is possible that her home |or her work has completely filled her thought. Prob- A NCW P]&Il fOI’ Made Possible by New Product Based on New Idea for Prevention of Colds A third of a century ago, Lunsford Richardson, Sr., a North Carolina druggist, developed a new idea in treating colds—and with it Vicks VapoRub. Now, after years of research, Vick chemists have developed a new idea in pre- venting colds—and with it Vicks Nose and Throat Drops. These two are companion products — they aid and supplement each other. Together, they make possible the Vick Plan for better “Control-of-Colds” in the home. Trial Offer to Vick Users We believe that these two products—used as direc- ted in the Vick Plan for better “Control-of-Colds” —will greatly reduce your family’s “Colds-Tax" in money, loss of time and health. We believe this so strongly that we have authorized all druggists to sell Vicks Drops to any user of Vicks VapoRub on trial—to refund the purchase price if you do not find the Vick Plan for “Control-of-Colds” more than satisfactory in your home. (Cepyright, 1831.) At that first sneezy, scratchy irritation of the nose or upper throat— Nature’s unmistakable warning that you are “‘catching cold”—use Vicks Nose Drops promptly as directed. Many colds can be checked at this stage and bad colds avoided. If you catch cold easily, the wise plan is to use just a few Vicks Nose Drops up each nostril after exposure to any particular condition that your own experience tells you is apt to give You a cold - ~ for instance, a night on a Pullman —a dusty automobile ride — over-smoking — over-heated, over- crowded rooms, etc., etc. — and you feel the slightest stuffiness of the nasal passages. Vicks Drops are especially designed to aid the nose—Nature’s preventor” of colds—when over-taxed by such emergencies of our artificial present-day living. At night, massage the throat and chest well with Vicks VapoRub (now available in white “‘stainless” form, if you prefer). Spread on thick and cover with warm flannel. Leave the bed-clothing loose around the neck so that the medicated vapors arising can be inhaled all night long. During the day —any time, any place—use Vicks Nose Drops as needed for ease and comfort.i(If there is a cough, you will like another new Vick product —a Cough Drop actually medicated with ingredients of Vicks VapoRub.) This gives you full 24-hour treatment and without the risks of too much inter- nal “dosing,” which so often upsets the digestion—especially of children—and lowers body strength at a time when Nature most needs it to resist disease. Don’t “dose” colds except on your doctor’s advice. *TRADE MARK nEa.
