" . News of the Marine Band HE United States Marine Band has returned from Nev’ Orleans, La., where it participated in the thirty-third national encampment of the United Spanish War Veterans. During the band’s stay in that city concerts were given in Audubon Park and City Park. Another feature of the encampment was a night parade which was headed by the commander in chief of the United Spanish War Veterans, his staff and the Marine Band. A medley march, prepared for this occasion by Capt. Branson, leader of the band, and con- taining various songs dear to the hearts of the Spanish War Veterans, was much in demand.
